We deliver your report within 48 hours, complete with images and detailed descriptions of defects identified by our inspectors, both inside and out. The report includes thermal imaging and system checks, covering everything from minor issues to major defects. This inspection is a small investment in ensuring your home is perfect.

The report is initially emailed to you, and we can also mail a copy upon request if it contains 120 defects or fewer. This is the document you’ll provide to your builder, and it includes crucial information on your next steps and guidance on handling any issues with getting your defects rectified.

What is a New Home Snagging Report?

A New Home Snagging Report is a comprehensive survey that identifies and documents defects in your new home.

It includes detailed descriptions and photographic evidence of each issue, making it easy to present to your builder.

You will receive the report via email within 48 hours of our inspection. We operate in a paperless environment to help reduce our environmental impact.

When Should I Have My New Home Inspected?
The ideal time for a new home inspection is before legal completion. This timing allows the builder sufficient opportunity to address any issues before you move in. According to the new NHQC regulations, builders should offer the option for a pre-handover inspection.

If a pre-completion inspection isn’t feasible, arrange for it as soon as possible after the handover. Keep in mind, snagging inspections can be conducted at any time within the first 2 years of occupancy.

Why Should I Have My New Build Property Professionally Snagged?
  1. Avoid Future Costs: Identifying and addressing defects early can save you from potentially significant repair costs down the line.
  2. Expertise You Can Trust: Our extensive industry experience allows us to spot issues that many home buyers might miss.
  3. Protect Your Investment: Ensure that your substantial investment is safeguarded by uncovering minor to major defects before they become problematic.
  4. Meet Buyer Expectations: While new homes should ideally be free of defects, this isn’t always the case. Our snagging service helps ensure that your home meets the highest standards.
How Long Does the Home Inspection Typically Take?

The duration of the inspection varies depending on the size, type, and quality of the property, but it generally takes between 2 to 5 hours. For specific time estimates based on property size, please refer to the details provided in our Booking Form.
